Sans une iden­ti­fi­cation rigoureuse des sphères fonctionnelles déficientes, la réadaptation peut s’avé­rer imprécise. Les mesures actuelles du fonctionnement utilisées auprès de la cli­en­tèle ayant un TPL sont générales et ne couvrent pas toutes les sphères déficitaires pour ce trouble.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><strong><span lang="FR">Objectif. </span></strong><span lang="FR">Cet article présente le processus de conception d’un questionnaire visant à éva­luer le fonctionnement au quotidien des personnes ayant un TPL.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><strong><span lang="FR">Méthodes.</span></strong><span lang="FR"> La sélection des dimensions du questionnaire s’est faite par des consultations auprès de 42 experts (patients, cliniciens et chercheurs) par le biais de différentes méthodes (recension des écrits, groupes de discussion, méthode d’en­quête Delphi). La transformation des dimensions en items et la création de l’échelle de réponse ont été effectuées par le biais de neuf rencontres avec l’équipe de cher­cheurs. La révision du questionnaire a été réalisée par un prétest et des entre­vues cognitives auprès de huit personnes ayant un TPL.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><strong><span lang="FR">Résultats</span></strong><span lang="FR">. Le questionnaire auto-administré FAB comporte 38 items divisés en quatre do­maines : les activités de base au quotidien, les activités dans la collectivité, les di­men­sions de l’environnement social et les dimensions internes de la personne. L’échelle de réponse comprend deux types d’indicateurs, soit les effets du mode de fonction­nement sur la santé et le bien-être, et la perception de la difficulté à réaliser les activités.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><strong><span lang="FR">Conclusion. </span></strong><span lang="FR">Le FAB est un questionnaire prometteur, conçu avec les différents acteurs-clés</span><span lang="FR"> dans la réadaptation du TPL et qui cible les enjeux fonctionnels propres à cette clientèle.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><strong>Mots-clés.</strong> Trouble de la personnalité limite, fonctionnement quotidien, questionnaire auto-administré.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR">____________________________________________________</span></p><p class="Textersum"><strong><span lang="FR"><br /></span></strong></p><p class="Textersum"><strong><span lang="FR">Conception of a daily functioning assessment tool for people with borderline personality disorder, the Functional Assessment for Borderline personality disorder (FAB)</span></strong></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><br /></span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><strong>Abstract</strong><br /></span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><strong>Background.</strong> Living with borderline personality disorder (BPD) can significantly impact functioning. Without a rigorous identification of areas of dysfunction, clinical rehabilitation may be inaccurate. Current operational measures used with BPD clients are general and do not cover all areas of impaired functioning connected to this disorder.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><strong>Purpose.</strong> This paper describes the process of designing and establishing content validity of a self-administrered questionnaire to assess daily functioning of people with BPD, using various stakeholders’ perspectives.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><strong>Methods.</strong> The dimensions of the questionnaire were selected through consultations with 42 experts (patients, clinicians and researchers) using different methods (literature review, focus groups, Delphi survey). The transformation of the dimensions into items was completed through meetings (n=9) with the team of researchers. The revision of the response scale was performed by pre-test and cognitive interviews with 8 people with BPD.</span></p><p class="Textersum"><span lang="FR"><strong>Results.</strong> The FAB self-administered questionnaire consists of 38 items divided into 4 areas: basic day-to-day activities, community-based activities, dimensions of the social environment, and internal dimensions of the person.
