Aim: To describe how occupational therapists integrate evidence-based outcomes into their practice with people with BPSD. Methodology: A descriptive research with simultaneous mixed-mode design and triangulation including an online questionnaire and semi-structured interviews was conducted among Quebec occupational therapists. Results: The results show that the interventions described as most effective in the scientific literature are the least applied by occupational therapists. The results show that occupational therapists offer interventions for which they perceive they are competent. Occupational therapists emphasize clinical experience and prior training to guide their practice. Conclusion: Understanding the factors influencing occupational therapists in their choice of interventions makes it possible to propose solutions to optimize the integration of evidence-based data in practice.
