Why publish in our journal ?
1) The RFRE is in French
The RFRE is the only international research journal in occupational therapy, entirely in French. Of course, English is the language of scientific publication. However, we believe that each language has its own genius and that occupational therapists should be able to produce, and read, research results in their own language.
2) The RFRE is FREE, FOR ALL
The RFRE is completely FREE for everyone, readers AND authors. It functions essentially thanks to the voluntary commitment of researchers and the support of universities and associations.
3) The RFRE is in Open Access
The RFRE is entirely Open-Access, accessible without delay and without registration to readers worldwide. It operates on the diamond model, the most open and collaborative model of Open Access. Open Access publishing promotes dissemination and increases the impact of research articles.
The RFRE allows publications to be freely used, copied and disseminated, for non-commercial use and provided that the authors are properly credited (Creative Commons BY-NC-SA).
Not only does open access publishing meet research ethics requirements, but it is now a requirement of most public research funding agencies, both in North America and Europe.
4) The RFRE is PEER REVIEWED
Research articles are anonymously peer-reviewed (PEER-REVIEW), the standard for health research journals. By guaranteeing the anonymity of authors and experts, this process promotes an objective evaluation of manuscripts. It contributes to guaranteeing the methodological quality of published articles and, in most cases, significantly improves the quality of submitted texts. It also allows authors to contribute to the recognition of the quality of their research by their partners and employers.
5) The published articles in the RFRE are WELL INDEXED and easily importable
Articles published in the RFRE are EASY TO FIND for readers: they are indexed in several search engines and databases, such as CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), Ebsco Essentials, Google Scholar, OTDBASE, Ulrichsweb, JournalTOCs, PKP Index, QOAM, BASE and DOAJ. Google scholar is probably the starting point for everyone looking for scientific information today. And the DOAJ is the most serious and complete database of open access journals.
The articles are also easily importable into bibliographic reference management software, such as the free and open-access software zotero, or others, paying and limited, like Endnote or Mendeley.
